Well, it finally happened.  Pipestone treated me like a red headed stepchild!!  I have been very spoiled there over the last year.  I took a fellow firefighter with me that really hasn't solely targeted bass while fishing.  I thought we were going to have a great day because of the wind that day.  I thought go to the windy side, throw spinners and lipless crank baits and catch a bunch of bass that were Fall feeding.  Not so............instead, I threw my arm off casting that spinner, and everything else I have, they just weren't active enough.  I'm chalking this one up to, too nice of a day, full moon overnight and weather too unstable from Monday.  On the plus side Mark did catch his fish on a lure he has never used before I believe, a pop-r.  He ended up catching 4 fish all on the pop-r with 2 of the fish being keepers.  I caught my 3 fish all on a senko.  1 keeper for me is all.  My fish weighed a measly 1 lb. 3 oz.  A far cry from what that lake can produce.  Water temp was 68 at the start and warmed to 70 degrees.  We had 4 lbs. 5 oz. for our total weight of 3 fish.

Here is Mark with his first pop-r bass.  It weighed 1 lb. 6 oz.

This was the sunrise view we had.  It looks like the tops of the trees in the middle are on fire!!

His second fish weighed 1 lb. 12 oz.  He REALLY likes to show his appreciation to the fish for hitting his lure!!

C'mon. There's no penalty points or anything. Just trying to make it easier for others to find stuff.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
