Calcutta 50 & BPS Micro Lite rod

I've had this reel kicking around for several years and never knew what to do with it so this winter I bought a rod for it. I have only tried it in the yard as a combo but don't like it, I should be using spinning gear for what I want to do so I would like to sell this rig.
The reel is a few years old and has some boat rash but the rod is new and has never been fished.
Rod is a MLT60MLT 6'0" Medium Light Fast Action and can be seen here.
The reel is spooled with mono backing and brand new 8# PowerPro.

I received the rod and reel today. It's great thanks again, that is some thin line on there what did you use this set up for?

It's 8# PowerPro. I was hoping to get perch or trout with it. Hope it works well for you and you get some use out of it. Thanks!
