Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Hey guys, when I lived here 5 years ago, I fished a small open weeknight tx on Lobdell and one on Ponemah.  These were not run by a larger circut, just a small deal with no membership fee.  I think Lobdell was Tuesdays and Ponemah was Wends?  Are they still going on?  Wish I could remember the details better!  What start date and times?  Any similar thing on Kent or Wolverine?

Time to fish!!!    ;D

The days are backwards, but they are still going on.  Tues. on Ponemah at the small store/campground and Weds. on Lobdell.  They have switched back and forth on the launch site for Lobdell, but I think it is at White's now.  There have been so many weeknight trails (NBAA, ABA hawg hunts, etc) popping up, the Ponemah tournament doesn't attract a consistent group like it used to, but Lobdell is still strong with 15-25 boats per week.  Like you said, it's just a guy and his sons that run it and it's not part of an organization.   Just show up, pay your entry and fish.

That sounds cool.  I may have to hit these tourneys a few times this summer.  What launch does the Ponemah go out of?  What kind of weights does it usually take to win and what is the entry fee?

The Ponemah tournament goes out of the store/campground next to T-Bones restaurant off Silver Lake road.  I have always put in at the DNR and drove over, but there is a launch at the store.  The tournament was $30.  I haven't fished it in a few years but some friends fish it every week.  It usually takes 10-12#'s to win, sometimes less depending on the amount of recent weedkill.
