Inland Waterway Bass Fishing Closure Defeated

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just wondering if there were any shows worth making a road trip to in the month of Feb?  Grand Rapids isn't till mid March... getting bored!!  I know about the Wonderland Open and Matteson Marine... but I'm talking something similar to the Novi/GR shows.

nothing that i am aware of other than outdoorama.  but the last couple times i went, it was pretty much just outfitters and getaways...stuff like that.

Im bring some baits and setting up there.  but i am not anticipating much business at this one.

I thought I saw something about Bass Pro Shops having something the end of Feb. but now I can't find where I saw that.

I will be going to the Cleveland show this weekend.

It is FEB 25-28 same place as the ultimate fishing show was.
Its a decent show but not much fishing stuff at all.

Mike, come on over for the show, Dan's got a booth (5715 I believe).  You know there will be lots and lots of fried fish and your favorite - jerky!  What the heck else are you gonna do, sit in the store?!
