Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I posted this in another forum, it had 50 looks but no replies.  I could use a little help here.  Thanks

Can someone please tell me how to purchase a seasonal pass for the Crocker launch on St. Clair??  I fished there last May during the week  for four straight days, and there was never anyone there at the booth.

Two springs ago, there was no one at the booth the first day, but the second day I was able to purchase a permit.  I mistakenly thought it was good for all the launches on the West side of St. Clair. Reality hit the third day of that trip when I had to pay $10 at the 9 mile launch.  lolol   Thanks in advance for the help.     Jeff

Thanks C&B   I was more than willing to buy one, but no one there to give my money to.  It's not like there weren't a lot of boats using the launch that week.

Crocker Street launch is a DNR launch and the DNR launch pass works for there as well as Harley Ensign and the Algonac launch.  You can purchase that pass at the DNR Office on 8 Mile Road and Beech Daly in Redford/Southfield or at any DNR launch when they start manning them around Memorial Day.  Some are manned at the start of the Catch and Release season starting the last Saturday in April.

Where is the Crocker St. Launch???

Waterfoul

It's on ...... um.... Crocker St.  LOL!!!

It's on Jefferson south of Metroparkway.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I knew that was an opportunity for a wise guy, but I tossed it out there anyway, LOL

How far south of Metroparkway?  Is it a good launch?  How far from 94?

Skulley

It is on Jefferson about a mile or two south of Metro Parkway.  Matter of fact is about a quarter of a mile south of Crocker Street.  I don't know why they call it Crocker Street but they do.  Also it is a concrete launch with available parking for over 100.  I use it quite a bit.  There are others on the board that do too.

Head east 1/4 mile turn right at McDonald's, go 1 mile turn right at Speedway, go 1/4 mile to the ramp on the left... turn at the first light each time.

Watch out for the drunk yahoos on the wknd afternoons!  Saw a guy flying in reverse then jamming the brakes to dump a 24 footer that wouldn't come off the trailer!  If he hadn't been such a DB I would've told him about the safety strap but it was more fun watching him rant and rave and yell at everyone!

It's a good ramp.  Sometimes you have to watch motoring out.  Especially early in the season.  Seems like a floating log or two are sometimes there.

I usually buy my DNR Boat sticker, and the State Park sticker at the DNR office at Grand River and Kensington Rd.  This is just off of the E way near the west launch at Kensington.

The DNR office on Chilson Rd. in Brighton didn't have the Boating stickers last year.

There is on the DNR website a listing of which launches are DNR. Ones in our area are:  Portage Lake near Pinckney. Woodland Lake near Brighton, Whitmore Lake in Whitmore Lake.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
