would you rather stay up and fish late into a friday night or get up super early on saturday and fish before the lake gets crowded with non fishermen?
i have this choice comming up for me ( :Dthe wife and kid are staying on the east side :D) on 7/31 or 8/1. hmmmm i guess any time i can get on the water is a good time.  ;D

Cy

I would rather get up early.  There is something special about that time of morning between dark and dawn.  I like being the first one on the water and opportunity catch a bunch of fish that have had the night to recover from boat traffic of the day before.

I agree with Cy.  I would rather be there early and get in the water before all the crazy people show up.  There's good fishing to be had before dawn most days, and it is a peaceful time of day to enjoy.

Do both! Some lakes are better night lakes, some are better morning! What better way to find out which it is? Take advantage when you get it!

River Walker

I do both.....on the same day! Those that fish with me know I'll get on the water about 4:30AM,and there's a real good chance I'll be out there until 10:00PM,or even later.I had a trip recently with Mojo from this site up at Erie,we launched at 5:00AM and got back to the ramp at around 9:30PM.

Sign me up in the "both" column.

Thats not a fair question for River Walker, since he doesn't sleep at all.

I'm out there at 4:30am. I hate the evening hours cause of the water flees and the mosquitos.

fiker

I like both. But...

Many of the launches don't open up around here until 8AM.  Definitely not with the fisherman in mind.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I like the morning better even though I don't get many free mornings to go so I spend more evening hours on the water. I hate the extra boat traffic and bs in the evenings on the all sports lakes.

well. i guess i'm going to try to get to tipisco lake as early as possible sat. aug. 1st. i know i96 is all messed up between here and m23 but if i get a super early start it should be no big deal. anyone care to join me? or if there is some "secret" ;) lake you can take me to i'm game for that too.

chrisvmo
