I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm happy to announce that Grandt Rods is continuing their sponsorship of GreatLakesBass.com for 2009 as our exclusive rod maker.

Grandt Rods, part of Grandt Industries, is a US company specializing in quality fishing rods for all types of fishing from ultra-light freshwater to bigtime saltwater action. These are high quality fishings rods, many with a simple, but impressive lifetime warranty.

Plus, if you catch Grandt Rods at a fishing show and buy your rods at their special show pricing, you keep that pricing from that point on in future purchases. Grandt has not further shows in Michigan for 2009, but a number of shows around the Midwest and East coming up yet.

Grandt also provides a great cane fishing rod restoration service and sells Tonkin can rods.

I recently picked up 3 very nice Grandt Rods at the Novi fishing show. Top quality. Light. Attractively designed and very sensitive. There's a huge variety of actions and lengths to fit anyone's needs no matter how specific.

If you have any questions about availability of certain actions /rods, or want a recommendation, please post in the Grandt forum above and I'm sure BrianB or MadWays will be happy to help you!!

This is a good time for an important discussion.

This web site and the exciting features it offers are made possible not only through the dedication of Dan Kimmel, but by the commitment of its sponsors. Without these sponsors dollars many of the advanced features would not have been possible. It is important that we support these sponsors. Supporting the GLB sponsors by means of purchasing their products or services, in turn supports this web site and the outstanding work of Dan Kimmel. These sponsors allocate dollars to this site not only to benefit GLB but to hopefully benefit their bottom line.
If they receive no direct benefit that they can attribute to GLB advertising, then Dan will most likely feel the loss of these much needed operating funds.
As members of this site we should make every effort to direct our spent fishing dollars towards those that finance this site.

Please review the list of sponsors to this site and shop those companies first or at least make an effort to try their products.

I think it is exciting for Dan and GLB to have such innovative and exciting sponsors.
I have used many of the sponsors services or purchased their products and plan on continuing this trend in support of GLB.

As a pro staff member of Grandt Rods it is my job to make every effort to educate GLB members on the product line. I also have the ability to offer special pricing to GLB members.

Anyone interested in Grandt Rods should contact me directly.
I will offer discount show pricing to any GLB member through April 3rd 2009.

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Being able to talk about our products here on GLBass.com has been an incredible part of our success.  The members here have been very supportive of me and chris and our line of soft baits and now jigs.  So for that, i once again say thank you.

Thank you for supporting Great Lakes Bass and all GLB Sponsors

Dave,
Thanks so much for your support and friendship. I can say enough to impress on people the excellent quality of Grandt rods. In the past, I dabbled with sponsorship from companies when I fished more tournaments, but now I buy what I want to use from who I want, and I really like the huge variety, look and quality of the Grandt rods. It is important to me to be involved with quality companies who make quality products because I can't recommend otherwise.

I thank everyone who visits and uses GreatLakesBass.com who has supported the various sponsors already. Please, if you like GreatLakesBass.com, always consider the products from the companies that keep it running. Give them a chance to sell you on their great products and services.

And when you do contact them, please thank them for supporting your web site.

I can tell you, Dave's offer above will save you significant money on very nice rods. You can get a better rod from Grandt for the same cost of a lesser rod from other companies.
