I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

has anyone found something that will remove the waterlines and or water spots from your outboard, especially the Mercs and lower unit. thanks
capt Charlie

GOT'R DONE WITH WATER AND VINEGAR, THEN FOLLOWED UP WITH A SUPER PRODUCT BY ENVIRO ONE...SUPER SLICK STUFF...of course something that works great and they don't make it anymore.

so now its ready to trade in on a new 200XS SUPER PRO next week, EXCITED, finally going to enjoy the performance I've been wanting for so long.

My all purpose cleaner is a solution of water and white vinegar.  I put about an inch or so in the bottom of a pint size spray bottle.

I use this to clean my engine, the boat, the trailer, even the screens on my sonar units.

The acetic acid ( a very weak acid) works on the elements and chemicals that cause hard water.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

funny, that's what I use to clean my windows and mirrors around the house and truck....thx

As long as you don't leave it on the motor very long, The Works toilet cleaner works great.  Spray it on the white residue, hit it with a soft scrub brush, hose it off.  I've done mine several times with no ill effects.  Takes it off instantly and I can do it in about one minute.

BUT, you don't' want to leave it on for more than a minute or so.  The hydrochloric acid in toilet bowl cleaners is neutralized by water.  My 1997 lower unit still looks great.

Kills the grass though!!  LOL!!
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

thanks, if the water and vinegar don't work, which by the way both will kill grass, but then again that makes more time for FISHING

The chemistry teacher in me must clarify.   Water cant neutralize acid.  It can only dilute it.
You end up with about the same thing, but ...
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
