Media Boats, Tow Drivers and Volunteers needed for the Detroit River FLW Tour event July 11 through 15. TBF of Michigan is coordinating all volunteers for this event on behalf of FLW Outdoors. You do NOT have to be a TBF member to volunteer - just dependable. Contact TBF of Michigan president Dennis Beltz for more information and/or to volunteer: 586-286-3523 after 6PM in the evening or email: dbeltz4 at comcast.net

They have their own Camera Boat Drivers, so those are NOT available. TBF volunteer Media Boat driver volunteers will be taking around any reporters, outdoor writers and news crews who ask to be involved.

All boats for the media driver volunteers must be Ranger, Stratos, or Champion. They will also need either a Yamaha or Evinrude engine. We need the best persons we can get to drive the Wed-Sun needs. Dependability is a must.

Boat drivers will receive compensation for their time, gas and certain expenses with a receipts only. Specifics will be covered by FLW Outdoors once they contact you prior to the event.

The following is what we need and when we will need them. No guarantees on who gets what volunteer position - Dennis will do what he can, but final decisions will be up to FLW staff.

1 Driver Wed-Sun (Use FLW Wal-Mart Boat)

2 Drivers Wed-Sun (Use FLW Boats) (Follow National Guard Anglers)

4 Drivers Thu-Sun (Use own Boats) (Report to Dave Washburn 270-703-2380)

10 Volunteers to help at Lakeside Weigh-in on Thu-Fri

5 Volunteers on Sat-Sun to help with Fun Zone Booths in Cobo Hall (11:30-4:00)

10 Volunteer to Tow the Anglers on Sat-Sun (From the Lakeside to Cobo and vice-versa in the morning and afternoon)

Here's a good chance to smooze (also called networking - actually very valuable), feel the vibes of the big time and have some fun not working (at the day job anyway). We'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
