I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Made the drive to LSC on Sunday, from the Westside of the state, and it was a whole different trip compared to my first time out. I don't know why I didn't think about it being a nice day, that there would be a million boats out......I have never seen so many huge boats in one place! The wind was pretty light, but the 4 foot rollers from 40 foot plus boats made the fishing a little ruff. I definitely had my cowboy stance while operating the trolling motor!

I started out fishing in 10 fow around some weed beds, and for the first hour I caught nothing...so then I moved around but when you've only been there once it's hard to know  where to move.

Ran toward the middle channel, and found some weed clumps here and there, and picked up a bunch of fish but they were all small, the whole day was pretty much that way all little guys, I only got 1 fish over 3 lbs. I caught them on Erie darters, and tubes. I even did a tandem tube, running green pumpkin on the bottom, and a silvery minnow tube on a drop shot hook. I was hoping for a double but no such luck. I also caught 6 pike and a dozen rock bass. I think I ended up with around 25-30 smallies, but considering I was out there all day, I don't think my results were that great.

Unfortunitely I also saw some naked dude standing on the back platform of his 40 foot yacht, not sure what he was doing, and don't think I want to know!

I knew what I was going to say in response to you... until that last paragraph...?? Oh boy.

You should have seen the frequent days of big 'square' waves back before the gas prices knocked down the boat traffic... That is THE ONLY positive thing I can ever think of about high gas prices. And the back of my mind still realizes the negative hit on the economy of less boating and fishing...

Anyway, you caught some bass and fish but it wasn't the stellar trip of you maiden voyage to Lake St. Clair. Your first trip was pretty stellar BUT the good news is if you continue to fish there when you can, you WILL have more almost stellar, and even stellar trips in the future. Hopefully... with no naked dudes.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
