Portage Lake report 6-9-13

Fished the first Washtenaw division Huron Valley Bass tourney on Portage today.  Wish I had a better story, but fact is that Largemouth seemed to be in some sort of post-spawn funk.  LM bite was real slow, and SM bite was even slower.  Rock bass were fast and furious, probably caught 60.  The few bass we caught early were biting super light.  Water tem around 68 never broke 70, even during the few moments that the sun was out.

Afternoon bass were a bit more cooperative.  Got a few on reaction strikes.  Had a few blow up on frogs.  All fish caught in less than ten feet of water.  Nothing deep.
