Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Was only out for 4+ hours with a later start...fished till 2:30pm.  For the most part the wind was howling with 2-3 foot waves.  Fished with a drift sock and got a few on every drift.  We ended up with 18 fish with several in the 3 and 4lb range and a lot of 2.5, hardly any short fish.  Considering the very muddy water and windy conditions, I think we did pretty darn good...all things considered. Fished with GoldenGhost and had a really nice time.  It's days like yesterday that I'm glad to be a part of GLB so I can meet such nice guys.  :)  I would have had a great day with Gary even if we only caught a few.

Anyway, it was a very color specific and depth specific kind of day.  He fished brighter colors and outfished me for a while 2 to 1.  Being not proud...I was happy to accept some of his tubes so I could catch up.  ;)  We caught them in a small window: 7-8.5 FOW.  They wouldn't take a dropshot and nothing on moving baits either.  It was a slow tube day.  I'm sure if the wind was less, we'd have caught more.  Maybe next time I should throw out 2 drift socks and slow the boat down, we might have done better.  Plus we did try fishing shallower for a bit without a bite.  Once we got out deeper, the bite was steadier.  I hope it clears up by the time of the MadWags Memorial.
