Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Started out at first light.  Went over near the south channel to try a few spots.  Lots of bfl guys and guys practising for the northern open near the fire cracker.  Waves made ot tough to feel the bite and keep the boat out ofhe rocks but my partner boated a solid 3 lb smallie and I "shook" off a pretty nice one.  Headed up the south channel to try some areas.  Each spot produced solid 3 lb fish but nothing more.  Or for me for that matter as my partner was cleaning house.  Serously I felt like a guide:-P
We headed up into the scr and hit a few spots.  A few rockies and dink smallies by fawn.  Once we tried around the power plant (dte)  I started to catch some.  25'plus seemed to be the ticket there.  We caught near 40 again.  This time all in the 3 lb class.  Culling was hard as they were all cookie cutter.  What a complaint huh?  Catchimg 40 plus in july.
after  awhile we bugged out south to the gravel plies in mc.  I tried some seawalls just north of there and landed a nice 4lb fish on a goby replica.  Lost a few more landed a few more but still 3lb class.  Treid tubes drop shots all produced but no big ones.  Went shallower and a bit deeper bit nothing.
all in all it was a good day but the big bite is still eluding me.  At least getting a limit has not been a problem as it was on my first try a few years ago.
Got one!
