I haven't been out on the lake in awhile because of a run of working too much and when I do fish I am on Inland water tournaments.  I took the wife and daughter out today and I thought I would just hit some old waypoints and try to get a handle on what mode the fish are in and get some direction for a serious day tommorrow..
We launched in Marine city and started in the River...River fishing is a great way to get the wife and daughter out because it is just a matter of dragging tubes and you can cover a ton of water quickly...We immediately started catching quality fish....Most fish were caught in 30 FOW..
We made a run south and caught a few fish in the channels...Same basic patterns...
With the river and channels looking like they were just starting to get good I wanted to see what was going on in the main lake...I hit three of my waypoint zones and caught a few fish at each one...Mostly Drop Shots and Crankbaits.......
It was a good day and fish were pretty much biting every where we stopped....If I had to fish a tournament tommorrow I would probably just set up a milk run between waypoints and try to run into a school of better quality fish sometime during the day...I didn't really do a good job today of keeping track of numbers or weight but we caught two fish that were heavy Fours and probably would have rounded out a limit with 3- 3.5lbers..I would say we caught somewhere around 25-30 fish...

It was a great day to have the family out because there was basically no wind and the bite was as strong as it gets during the summer..Sorry about the sideways picture...I fixed it when I downloaded it from my phone but it downloaded to the website sideways..... ???.

Glad to see you had fun.  And I didn't mind turning the laptop sideways to see your picture better one bit  !!!!!   :)
