I stink!! I fished the Miller Lite Tourney at Lake Wawasee and stunk up the place. I fished against 75 teams by myself (partner had something come up) and only weighed in 2 fish 3.79#. I believe that finished me around 45th place. I'm coming to the realization that I am not very good on this body of water  :'(. That frustrates me because I really like it. At 10:30 I had no fish (only 1 dink too) and then I tried something that I promised I would not resort too and instantly caught a 16" and a few dinks. 20 minutes later I caugth a 15" and more dinks. I was pumped and thought I had figured something out  ;). 4 hours and a handful of dinks later I realized that my pattern was NO GOOD!!  :'( :'( The truth is, I couldn't get bit on the main lake if my life depended on it and I'm sure thats where most of the fish were caught. All of my fish were shallow. I need help on this body of water and it pains me to admit it  :'(. I am guessing that nearly 20 limits were caught, which pains me even more. The winners had 12#. Worst thing is that I didn't qualify for the classic (new truck and boat for winner) which is on the St. Joe River; a body of water I know well...  :'( I'm doing a lot of crying ain't I?

I hope you're all feeling better than me!

In case you didn't notice there were alot of very good fisherman who didn't qualify and they had partners!
All the guys I talked to did poorly early but later in the morning, about the time those A 10's were messing around the bite started to get better.
You probably don't have room in the garage for another boat anyway! ;D
Look past what they want you to see.

Me and Wawasee have only gotten along outside tournaments also. Been a while since I've fished an event there... I'd not be much help - only fished there in the spring too.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
