Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I wish they wouldn't write those articles.  That's all we need is a bunch of people coming up here to Michigan and finding out that our water, LSC and Erie are really #1 and #2 in any order.  I like to keep it all a secret myself.   SSSSHHHHH!!!   St. Clair for numbers and Erie for size.   SSSSHHHHH!!!!!  I like the comment about paying off Chambers of Commerce around those lakes.  That's funny.   :P

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Bass had an online survey to vote for your favorite lake so that is where the numbers came from. St clair, imho is by far the best smallie fishery in the world. Compare quantity and quality and throw in accesibility and its a no brainer. There are lots of places on the great lakes that boast size as well as some inland bodies, but few of these are as easy to get at as st clair as a whole.

Now wawasee on the otherhand is a great lake by indiana standards...... Its a travesty it even made the list though. Best lake in indiana? Maybe.... I lived there long enough to know that any mediocre mich lake is better than some of the best indiana has to offer.

I thought the exact same thing about Wawasee.  I have fished it a bunch for fun and in a couple of tournaments and have never had above average days.

The way LGMOUTH catches bass there, it seems like a pretty good lake? I remember a 29 pound limit of 5 coming out of there once in the spring back when I would go down there to fish.

like i said - not a bad lake, when i think of "top bass lakes" i think of a place that anyone with moderate amount of fishing experience could go to for a week and have a blast catching fish. Wawasee isn't that kind of place.

plus we all know don is a freak of nature - (talking about fishing not his height of course  ;D )

Don't worry BD, when those Rebels get up here and have to fish in our "big water" conditions, they are often in no hurry to get back.
