I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Have to start channeling for KVD, AOY, ... He's got a three pound lead and HE CAN DO IT!! Weigh-in is tonight at 7:00. Last weeks first round will be aired on TV tomorrow on ESPN at 10:00 am.

Is he a man? Or a machine...? I can't tell you how weird it is to remember fishing against him when he was a teenager and now trying to think he is the number one tournament angler in the WORLD?!? Very surreal...

The B.A.S.S. Blog has him number one as of 1:00 pm unofficial though.

If he smells the AOY prize, he can be unbeatable. That is just how strong his mental desire to win is. I've sat and watched him make bass materialize! That is the best I can put what I watched happen.

Unfortunately he doesn't control his own destiny. If Skeet comes in 2nd behind KVD then Skeet will still win AOY. Luckily Skeet looks to be choking today, but you can't count him out with the current turning on this afternoon.

djkimmel

Kevin always controls everything he can and doesn't worry too much about what he can't control. Another thing that makes him so good.

From watching the pro's interactions and hearing them talk, they worry a lot more about what Kevin is doing than he worries about them too.

Well, pretty soon ole KVD will be looking over his shoulder to see what Mike is doing!  My 10 year plan is coming together nicely... other than the sponsor thing, the bigger boat thing, the "no you can't have the whole summer off" thing at work, and some other minor issues.

He's a freak of nature. that's all there is too it. You could tell Skeet was pretty upset about not winning AOY, he walked of stage and they had to coax him back just to get an interview which he got pretty choked up on. Hats off the both of the guys. Don't care for Skeet but if he wasn't the AOY this year he was the MVP. Congrats to Kev, you are a baaaaaad man. Way to represent!

djkimmel

At D & R this spring, you could tell a lot what Skeet said about KVD was not just joking. He's got a KVD complex. I don't blame him.

I think it has become mutual though. Skeet and KVD have both said some things about each other this week that they become frustrated (for a lack of better word) with each other.

djkimmel

Naw... Kevin's just saying that to try to make Skeet feel better. He's basically a nice guy. ;D

It was funny, at one point in the blog, they made a huge deal about Kevin taking a drink of water. LOL 119 degs out there today, of course hes going to drink. I heard later that he even does that fast though. Had to get back to fishing.
