I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Noticed it's leaking a bit... never noticed it before so I'm going to assume this is a new issue and the diffy is fine (seems fine, drives fine, etc...).

I'm looking to get at this yet TONIGHT!  Heading out with the Triton in the morning and would really like to top it off tonight.  I do NOT see a fill plug on the top/rear of the cover plate... this is what has me stumped.

Anyone??  Anyone??

fill plug is in the passenger side of the case, about half way up. filler' up till the fluid is even will the fill hole. put plug back in and ur donezo.

i think that diff might take the 75w-140 synthetic fluid, might want to check on that.

Waterfoul

Manual says 80-90 gear fluid GL-5.  Stopped by Autozone and picked up a quart.

I think I'll get up a little early tomorrow and do this in the daylight...  head lamp car repairs can be trouble when you're tired from fishing all day!

And yes... they were biting!  Thanks for the help!

May need some limited slip additive too if you have a limited slip rear end and have lost a lot of rear end lube.  Is is just leaking around the cover gasket?  You may want to pop of the rear wheels and drums (if drum brakes) and check the axle seals.  That can cause some real problems if the brakes get wet with the rear end lube.
