Portage River Ohio.  Fishing Muddy Water for Bass.  This is a fishing trip from last year I did on the Portage River near Port Clinton.  There are times when muddy water can make for a tough day of fishing.  There are certain things you can do to increase your chances of catching bass when facing these conditions.   Come along for a fishing trip on the Portage River and see how this day turned out on this Lake Erie tributary.

Great video.   I spend 3 months a year in Florida.  Fish water pretty much like that all the time.  Been a great learning experience finding you can catch big fish in that colored water.   Keep them videos coming.

I didn't even know Florida had some stained water like that.  That would make me a little nervous with gators around.  Maybe this year I'll get back out on Union Lake and see if your resident smallmouth is still hanging around.  I'd really like to get over on Pontiac.  I haven't fished that one yet, and I've been seeing some decent largemouth coming from there the last couple years.

If you want to drive up in May we can use my boat on Union Lake.  If there is time Pontiac is only 4 miles away.   Not sure about all the big fish there.  But it is a fun lake.  The Pike love to eat lures.

I'll keep that in mind if I fish that way.  I'll give you a shout and let you know.
