Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

spent both tournament days in search of bigger fish than I found in practice, gave my 2 hot spots to my roomie and he whacked 13 pounds and culled all day on day 2  just to get up to that, just like I told him he would but that wasnt going to get me a check so I chased the elusive big fish that never was for both days of the tournament.
in practice we cought over 300 fish on several different patterns and never cought a fish over 3 1/2.
on day 1 my co got a 4 and a 2 and I cought 3 just keepers in the first hour for a total of 5 quick ones then a couple boats moved off the bank onto my structure when they seen us bang 5 quick ones, it screwed me up a bit so I fired up the motor and ran 70 miles down to the tennesee river where we whacked 3 pounders real good in practice and some 6's and 8's a couple years ago, when I got there it was a dang desert and I didnt have the time to get back up to work my offshore structure for the 2 more fish I needed.
my travel partner ( Drew Bray) fished as a co and had a tough day 1 for only a couple pounds and 6 pounds on the co side was in check range on day 1, I told Drew he could get at least 12 pounds off my structure and cash a check if he could talk his boater into going to it, day 1 his boater only got 1 for 1-13 so he agreed to hit my spot and drew got 14 pounds but the guys livewell mal functioned and drew took a pound penalty for 2 dead fish for 12-15 and cashed a $400 check.
I was so far down on day 1 I needed 18 to 20 pounds at least to recover and I knew my 2 good spots werent going to do that for me so I swung for the fence trying new spots for bigger fish and struck out.
looking back I woulda been smart to get my 12 to 13 pounds a day and play it safe for points and a small check but Im not content fishing tournaments that way, Id rather weigh none trying to win than just being a donor, Id still be losing sleep wondering what if, I dont have that problem, Im sleeping just fine knowing I tried my best to win against a bunch of local boys.
I learned the north end of the lake a bit (first time there) and I will use it to my advantage and hopefully do better next time.

GO BIG OR GO HOME!

I went home   :-\'   :D
