Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Governor Whitmer signed new Executive Order 59 today at 11 AM removing the motorized boat ban we all fought so hard to turn around. The order as immediate effect!!

You can even fish with your buddy again as long as you maintain the 6 foot separation! The order is not on the Michigan Coronavirus site yet but I have the link above to it online and it should update on the Executive Order page shortly. She did extend Stay Home through May 15, but a number other restrictions were lifted and some businesses could resume work.

Make sure you read the EO-59 yourself as it probably affects many of you in other areas.

And MAKE SURE YOU THANK MUCC (Michigan United Conservation Clubs) for their hard, difficult work with the injunction lawsuit that played a big part in fixing this mistake!! I've said for years you all need to be MUCC members! We are constantly facing challenges that take all of us outdoors people working together to manage.

Many, many people played important parts in this process but I especially want to thank Mark Zona for being our 'spokesperson' across the outdoors world, and Kevin VanDam for using his powerful voice to get the word out!! Both of these Michigan fishing legends are MUCC members!!

The State of Michigan just updated the Coronavirus section. EO-59 is now available there.

Section 7, a, 1 is the key section for fishing!

To make this returned opportunity stay with us, PLEASE remember to boat and fish responsibly within the COVID-19 Michigan Executive Orders requirements. We want to prove to everyone that we take this novel situation seriously and we can fish safely at the same time! I know I'm preaching to the choir, but you can help others 'convert' leading by example! Thank you!!!

Big thank you to the MUCC.  As soon as I heard they filed a lawsuit I joined.  Kind of embarrassed I was never a member before but better late than never.  As soon as I heard the order was rescinded I hooked up the boat and went out for a couple hours.

Thanks to you, Dan, for keeping us up to date on all of this.

You're welcome. Many joined MUCC. EVERYONE should join. It's a lot easier to get things done if we are all counted. MUCC is Michigan's best resource for getting outdoors things accomplished. No other state has a group like it. Please, and thank you!
