Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Well... thought I had a ride, but now I don't. I haven't been down to the Ranger Boats Product Knowledge Tour since 2004. It's time to get back down there. It is an awe-inspiring event to see people who want to make a quality product put so much innovation and positive effort into their top-of-the-line boats.

Every time I go, they've made many changes improving safety, conditions, quality and the product. PLUS, you get to test drive the boats including the NEW Ultimate Tournament Rig!!!

The Z520!!

So, I'm looking for a ride to Flippin Arkansas and a room-share plan. Anyone going down next Thursday (11/29) for the Friday session? I may be able to get away with taking those two days off if we were to come back on the weekend. I can't swing the Thursday session - too many days off.

If you've never been, it's a huge event with a tour of the large facility - which they are now expanding in a major project - I want to see more about that too, and maybe visit the Forrest L Wood museum (and did I mention test drives on Bull Shoals!?!) and maybe hobnobbing with a few tournament pros along the way. Okay I'm not much for hobnobbing, but they're usually a bunch hanging around. I somehow seem to always end up sitting near Denny Brauer.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
