Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

6 lb Smallmouth

Anybody check out the new G. Loomis IMX Drop Shot rods?   They make one rated for 4-8 lbs and another one rated for 6-12 lb line.  Going to be mainly used for open water smallmouth.

Got some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket.

Formerly known as JerkBate

Nothing beats Great Lakes Smallmouth!

Manxfishing

Ones a med lite and the other is a med
but there both a XF tip

I myself like Med for a DS rod and I like 7' or longer

Here's my opinion
I think the IMX series rods are over priced for what they are
I'd buy a Kistler Hel 3 or a Shimano Cumara if your paying retail (watch the sales your under 200)
And I did pick up a couple NRX 852S for about that price. It's a much better rod

oldjigger

I also have  dropshot rods with bashida a blanks they will sell for $175 with microwavegides
these are the best rods i have had n my hands on sincew I havce been fishing

Waterfoul

For the money I'd rather have a Shimano Cumara.  CUS DX72M, which is a 7'2" Medium XF.  In fact I like this rod so much I have 2 of them (I like to drop shot!).  Matched with a Stradic Ci4 it's never met a smallie it couldn't handle (or those pesky pike).  This is a very light, very sensitive set up and the rod is normally about $90-100 less than the IMX.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Erie206

Gary Loomis has designed rods for TFO the Gary's Tactical Series or GTS rods are outstanding they have a price point of $160.00 you will find them to meet or exceed the performance of and IMX.
