Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'm not trying to rush winter. I'm sure some semblance of winter is on the way. That means we are approaching the 2026 Ultimate Sport Show Tour - the three biggest fishing and outdoor sport shows in Michigan!

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I am fishing an event on this chain tomorrow on 7/16.  I have not had a chance to pre fish this event.  It appears to be a long run from Center Lake to Wolf lake when I look at the satellite images.  There are also two roads to go underneath.
My questions are:
1.  With water levels the way they are this year can I get my 18' Ranger underneath the two roads?
2. Can I go on plane between the lakes while in the river.
3.  Does the fishing make it worth the run from Center to Wolf or do the other lakes offer better fishing.

Any and all advice is welcome.

I haven't been there is long years. Used to see people run part of the way so I did too. Don't know if they changed that. Boat traffic can make it a moot point out there at least later in the day. I don't know where the water levels are right now. They're still up half a foot to a foot on some lakes. They had some issues with boater hitting the bridges there in the past so they may have tightened up on the boating regs. Hopefully someone with recent experience will chime in to clarify.

I ran to Wolf Lake once and did decent on small keepers including some schooling action. But the tournaments are often won on Center Lake if you can get on them. One year the winning pattern was following behind the weed cutter. That was along time ago of course...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I stayed in Center lake.  Caught lots of fish but not many keepers.   Like many of our lakes these days Center has a lot of the invasive eurasian stony wort.   It ruins a lot of habitat.

It's in 120-130 lakes so far the last list I saw. Hard to kill. It is probably hybridizing with our sand grass they think, which is why we are having so much problem here with it unlike anywhere else. It's 'endangered' back in its native territory supposedly.
