Brooks Lake ??????

Hay everyone, a few weeks ago i posted for some info on Hess lake ( Thanks for all the good info  ) but now this little shop tx has been moved to Brooks Lake and we are fishing this Saterday  . If there is anyone out there that can give me any info at all it would be great

You need to talk to Cfruel, he has a place on Brooks and knows it well. He's on all the time, I'm sure he'll have some info to help you out.

On Brooks, find weeds, find fish.  I"ve fished 2 tournaments there this year already.  There are a couple distinct points on the lake.  Fish them all the way up to 2' of water or less.  Creature baits in the stump field on the south side is also a good place.  Soft plastics (watermellon and blues/blacks) and shallow cranks seem to do best.

It's still not the BEST bass lake around, but it's heads and shoulders better than Hess.  I caught a 6 lb largemouth there last year off the long point on the south side just east of the boat ramp.  Of course it wasn't during a tournament... dang!!
