What 7 lakes would you choose as your ultimate tournament season?  ANy lake in Michigan qualifies, don't consider travel time.

Mine would be:

Grand Lake and Long Lake (Alpena) on the opener

Torch Lake in Mid June

Smallwood in mid July

Wixom in early August

Douglas Lake in Late August

Black Lake in mid to late September

O.K. here's mine:

    Lake Erie  early June
    Alcona dam pond late June
    Hamlin mid July
    Wixom mid August
    Detroit river mid September
    Saint Clair late September
then back on Lake Erie if i'm not in the woods in October

Mine would be

Kent Lake Paper T Early May

St Clair every other weekend through August

Kent Lake October and November.

Not very interesting, i know.  But these are the only 2 lakes i fish regularly.  But for good reason.  I cant catch fish on any other lakes.

Any lake, any time, long as I have a chance a making more then a grand in cash.
Love Erie from July on, my night mare from late June thru mid July, I hope to change that this year. I have been paterning the smallies this winter, and I think I found the missing key which has hamperd my fishing after the spawn. Will wait to see......

Dan

We'll talk northwest Michigan only. Us West siders have to pick up cans to afford gas to get over to smallmouth heaven.
Portage Lake in Onekama Opener-but any lake over here from the opener till third week of June will produce good to great weights.
Crystal Lake in Beulah mid June
Anywhere around Traverse- Long, Duck, Green, Leelanau, Skegmog, Torch, Elk
The bay around the 4th of July and or mid to late September
Hamlin Lake in Ludington - any time for a big weigh in
Cadillac and Mitchell get hammered all year and still produce good weights every year.
Manistee Lake can be fickle, but lately has produced some great weights
Some guys like Hardy Dam early, but in the summer the boat traffic takes all the fun out of it.
