Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Hay Dan after sitting down with some buds Sunday and talking how we would like to get a TBF club off the ground in the west michigan area I was ask a question on membership. The question was is the 40 bucks for dues to the TBF include your membership to flw or is this a added expence. And also when is the next TBF meeting that we need to attend.

Thanks Andy

djkimmel

$40 is for state and national TBF dues - $15 national and $25 state. FLW membership each person gets on their own.

We are deciding on an exact place and date in April for our annual required meeting. Maybe have something announced after this weekend. That will be our one meeting each year each club needs to attend.

If you think you can get a roster together with at least 6 anglers with dues to send in by March 1, give me a call Thursday or Friday evening after 8PM. I may be able to help  you out. 517-882-8902

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Second question - Now that we have the TBF and FLW memberships - What other events would you recommend ?

Know me Dan, I would like to fish a few St Clair events. Can I just go on the FLW website or do we go to TBF or both ? Your recommendations ?
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan

BFL on L. St. Clair on July 7 day before the TBF of Michigan state championship on St. Clair on July 8.

Lots of opens and circuits on St. Clair as usual. Got the mostly fun only DK Open forum members catch-and-release event on May 12.

Got another paper tournament the following week - an ABA event on May 20 that I'll be at too helping Anthony Adams out at.

NBAA has a number of team tournaments at St. Clair this year. I believe there's one on the US opening - June 16. Check out the NBAA board here and there site at www.nbaa-bass.com for complete schedules.
