Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

What happend to the northeast division, the 2007 schedule goes Potomac, Detroit River, Hudson River, Kerr lake.  I thought the northern events had good participation, guess not.  BASS also doesn't have a northern divisiion this year.

I have gotten the impression that FLW Outdoors is compressing the tournaments to get full fields every time by having less tournaments - maybe to keep quality paybacks. I haven't heard much about the BASS side.

A number of surprising changes on the larger tournament scene for next year that I am curious to see how they will play out.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Dan what do you mean by "compressing" there is the same amount of tournys, just spread out more, unfortunatly. Since when is Virginia considered "North"

I'm feeling everybodies pain too!

I'm looking the schedules and scratching my head.

Actually... I like the Stren Central Division better that the Northern.

Bull Shoals, AR
Kentucky/Barkley
Columbus pool/tombigbee, MS
Lake of the Ozarks, MO

Just in terms of places I think would be cool to go fish.

But I'm at the point where I have to ask myself, "Is this really worth it?"

I wished I knew what BASS is fishing this year for their Opens.

I'm also considering fishing the Canadian circuit next year.

Every year it seems to be getting more expensive... yes inflation is always gonna make it cost more from year to year, but I'm referring to the percentage of my income it takes every year to fish these things. The percentage keeps going up.

I'm very troubled and have no good answers.

I hadn't really looked at the schedules earlier, but was going by some comments by anglers who called me and I thought they had gotten rid of one whole division compared to before. Wasn't there 5 divisions and now there's only 4? I still haven't gone over it yet. Been working on the web site and some related stuff such as TBF with all my free time.

It kind of seems like neither company feels they can keep an only north circuit going and full. I think they both want to go where they feel they will fill their fields. That's my gut feeling and from talking to other anglers, not from talking to anyone at either company.
