Dan save your DEFENSE chant for next year. . .  The Lions will definately need it next year.

A truly good team analyzes their opponents weakness' and exposes them. Houston, Wright, Spievey - they are our glaring weakness. GB and NO exposed em but good. Good news though and think about this:

If Detroit can pick pick up a shut down cornerback, keep Delmas healthy, and draft a strong safety / corner, they will negate 14 points a game. They are that close. Having to overhaul your secondary is a HUGE chore, but its the last big hole. Saying that about the Lions is something you couldnt say 1, 2, 10 or 20 years ago because there were so many holes. And having to ask Matt Stafford to put up 46 or more points a game to win is unacceptable.

Now if you want to get picky, YES they need  are weak at both tackles, yes they could use Ladanlian Tomlinson on 3rd down (He's retiring this season and with his years he would not be a starter, but a great back up).

But we are down to one big hole, and I see the Leos making a regular visit to the playoffs. I believe Schwartz will tell his team that for 2012, nothing short of a Home Field Playoff game is acceptable, and I feel the same way. Still - this was a great year, and I'll support the product.
Thanks Dan for bringing year round Catch and Release to Michigan
