I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

congrats to you and the family.  Poorboy family is also expecting.   Dan may have to add a Parenting topic to this board so us " Old Guys " can give you guys some tips.

save money,  them Huggies cost about as much as Senkos. :)

Congrats Blake!  Watch out for the sympathy weight.  I have gained about 10 lbs since we found out.  Luckily, most of it is in my face so all my clothes still fit.  But i have been eyeballing maternity jeans in my size.........just in case.

I'm going straight to sweat pants, you know the ones with the pockets...perfect.

We'll have to talk about developing some baby sized Fish Hedz!  BTW in the new JackAss 2 movie they are wearing Fish Hedz while getting plastered with paintballs at pointblank range.

Congratulations to you and your wife Blake! Raising children truly is the greatest adventure.

Actually Dartag, Huggies are way more expensive than Senkos because you can catch more than one bass on a Senko but you can't catch more than one load of....well, you know, in Huggies! ;D
Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

Dan

Congratulations Blake!!

It sure is an adventure. Lt. Dan will have to put up a parenting board like Dart suggested. We old guys have lots of advice. Start out will white lies. My boys knew never to say we stopped at a bait shop.  :)
"Not in the clamor of the crowded streets nor in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but within oneself lies victory or defeat."

matt

yeah telling the lady you stopped at a bait shop will get you some mean dirty looks...then followed by "did you get my huggies like i asked?"

You'll know you're in trouble when you gotta go back out again to get the huggies.....

BTW congradulations on the little one.

Blake:

congrats  - the fun never stops.  Seems like we almost have enough takes for the parent child division at the DK open.

Hopefully, they don't put salt in the Huggies though... congrats on the new future fishing partner.

I don't know about the parenthood board though? I not sure I want to be responsible for possibly putting more ideas in people's heads. I don't need any more angry calls and email...

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Congrats,,I have 2 girls and I wouldn't trade them for anything...My oldest can fish with the best of them..(Catches huge smallies on Long lake)..I think my youngest is going to be my Motocross racer though..She isn't afraid of anything..She scares the heck out of me sometimes..
The only hard thing right now is my oldest is 14 and the boys are starting to hang around...I just start playing the crazy wacked out Vet and that usually scares them off.
Good luck and have fun,
Brian

Congrats Blake,

I have 3 girls myself, and can honestly say that all the whining I did for a boy was for nothing. Girls want to hang with Dad more, and they are just as fun to take fishing, or to a ball game. Only bad thing is they take alot (all) of your free money, and it increases with age.

Of course this post will probably say something different in a few years when boys become an issue.

Congrats Blake! I have 3 daughters myself and raising girls is pretty much exactly like Gary posted, lots of fun and lots of money.

The only time it wasn't fun was the dating years. Those were TOUGH! I'm glad thats over with.

Now I have a grandson thats 2 and lots of fun. I got me a new fishing buddy!

Congrats man!

I will give you the same crap that everyone has given me:

"Lucky for her, she looks like her mother"

"whens the garage sale? m looking foward to buying your fishing stuff for pennies on the dollar"

"Well, your never going to fish again, you will be too busy changing diapers and feeding that little one"

"Sir, im going to have to write you a ticket for this, you cant transport a child in a car seat withing a rod locker of a boat."

My girl is 8 weeks old.  She is really starting to get 'fun' now.  She is learning to make different sounds, constantly trying to sit up, roll over, spit up on me right when i put on a clean shirt.  She smiles all the time, only has to piddle when i just about have her new diaper on.  It is a blast.  In one way i cant wait for her to get a little bit bigger so she will start learning to crawl, walk, and start talking.  But on the other hand, i wish she could stay this small and sweet forever.

Enjoy!
