Wow, summer just keeps getting shorter and shorter. I can't believe it is over already and to make it worse I went out on a bad note (doggon Ft. Madison :'(). I am already looking forward to next year. I love fishing the BFL's more than anything I do. I fortunately have a job that allows me a lot of time off to prepare for them, although it does not pay the greatest. I would not be able to do ay of it without my father-in-law and my wonderful wife who takes care of our 3 kids (a girl and 2 boys) while I am gone. My father-in-law pays for most of the gas and motel rooms and all I have to do is make sure I put him on them while prefishing. It is nice to have that second person in the boat, it has helped me get on them twice as fast many times. I hope to see some new faces next year and be able to meet a few more from this board. My father-in-law is still going to travel with me next year, but is undecided on whether he will go as a coangler next year. He says his back can't take too many more Erie rides. I am not a throttle jockey at all and try to care care to not break anything while I am out their. He drew a couple of wild rides this year and paid for them a few weeks afterwards. If anyone would like any information about fishing them next year, please let me know I will help you out all I can.
The boat will stay out till the water is too hard and then on to ice fishing.
See you guys next year and occasionally on this board.
God Bless and Good Fishing!
Rufus
