Does anyone still swim grubs?

10 years ago I remember swimming grubs as a major technique for guys in Sturgeon Bay.  Kalin's Witches' Brew, Copperhead, and Lemon Meringue were some odd colors that I remember catching fish on.  Are any of you guys still swimming grubs or has that fallen out favor and been replaced by swimjigs and swimbaits?  Just curious.

I would say that a four inch grub has been one of my mainstays for a long time. Don't tell anyone! They are a smallmouth catching phenom from prespawn, through the spawn, post spawn, right on through the fall. I have my grub and color that I have shopped around and had custom made after my original maker past away.

There's still a few anglers who do it but don't talk about it a lot. Some of them don't mind if others aren't trying it. I've come and gone and come back again on swimming various soft plastics though snap-jigging tubes and grubs is more exciting for me. I do like swim jigs too. The bass like them and if it's good enough for the bass, it's good enough for me.
