Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Waterfoul

Watched the video... I'll keep using my tried and true palomar.  WAY easier to tie and has not let me down yet.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

Interesting whenever Aaron Martens is up to something. He does have some good ideas at times. It does seem more difficult to do it his way though once you're use to it it would probably be pretty fast and simple. I wonder how far down he cuts off the loop tag, or if he cuts it off? He didn't in the video.

It seems the pros are always messing with new knots and looking for knots that break less and/or take the pressure off the line back to your fishing rod. I'm surprised how many pros now use the Albright knot, which is very popular in saltwater big game fishing.

I still can't tie the Albright knot right. Granted, I haven't put a ton of time into it. I have seen some of the pros tie it so fast it didn't seem much more difficult than any other knot!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
