This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Someone help me out here, please. Where can I procure some Gamakatsu rattlin and non rattlin 60 degree flat eye jig heads in 1/4, 3/16, & 3/8 oz., (tapered head) and also some ball heads, 90 degree, same size in Oakland or Wayne county. I know about Laketown, Mike's RX and Wayne Carpenter. Does any of the major outfitters like Dicks Sporting Goods, Gander Mountain, Sports Authority carry these that you fellas know of?

Hooksetter

You can get them at Dick's Sporting Goods and Gander Mountain in Novi. Dick's is in Fountain Walk Mall and Gander Mtn. is right next store. I was there the weekend of July 15  and bought all of the sizes you mentioned. Neither place had everything but between them I got everything. Gander Mtn. carries Bite Me jig heads made with Gammys, I think 3/0. I got rattlers at Dicks, I think they were made by K and E, with 4/0 EWG Gammys. [If memory serves.]

Just so you know, I went there the weekend of July 8  and neither place had ANY 1/4 oz tapered jig heads made with Gammys, so it is hit or miss.
Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

South street tackle in belleville always had a good selection.  They had the best selection but I haven't been there in two years since I started pouring my own leadheads.

I found the Jigheads at Gander Mountain in Novi. The bite me brand are cool. They had an ample supply. They even had the rattle type. I was looking specifically for the flat eye type. They move different in the water. Good fishin dudes and thanks to all.
