I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

"To ensure Fantasy Fishing participants enjoy the most competitive gameplay in fantasy sports, a membership is required to play."

They are going to try and get $10 a head to play Fantasy Fishing on their site. I don't know about this... Irwin Jacobs is at it again.
"Not in the clamor of the crowded streets nor in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but within oneself lies victory or defeat."

This is just a way for them to sell their magazine. $10.00 and you get 8 issues. FLW fantasy fishing is now pay to play.

And probably to help fund the prize pool, which has deteriorated significantly over the last couple years...

I myself still don't get the fantasy fishing?

Seems they should spend more time and money runnning the tournaments
then trying to build the next NASCAR or NFL

Actually Fantasy Fishing is a great marketing tool. It has gotten thousands to know the names of bass fisherman that they would have never known before. Very cheap way to market the masses. My wife even knows some of the top pros now because of Fantasy Fishing. Knowing someone's name helps to gather a following. If I know a kid on a high school team, I'm more apt to go to a game. If I recognize a anglers name, I'm more inclined to check to see how he's doing or what he's up to in some fishing show, and I'm more likely to buy products he recommends.

If the purse were $100,000.00 per tourney like it used to be, I would gladly pay the $10.00, but the prizes have deteriorated tremendously over the past couple of years.  I am just not that interested in winning a dicast replica of a Ranger boat!!!

The marketing guru's at FLW just don't understand tx anglers.
