Hey guys,

I mostly fish lake erie around the western basin islands inculding Pelee.

I currently have AT&T with a standard samsung cell phone and most of the time I can not get good signals out there.

However my contract is up and I am going to get the new I Phone and I was wondering which company I should go with between AT&T or Verizon or any others?

If one gets better reception out around the islands I will side with that company even if the price is a little more.

Thanks for any info guys.

ATT is good for nothing but paperweight mode.   Go with Verizon if you want a iPhone.

I never noticed that no one got back with you on this joeim8. I would have loved to help you when you originally posted this but the last time I was around that part of the islands I think I had a bag phone! That was the only phone back then that had enough strength to get a good signal out around the middle of the various lakes. Cost too much to call anyone though!

I'm surprised none of the Erie anglers never responded. I'm curious too. What did you end up getting?

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Got an iPhone 4S.  Got good apps for the Great Lakes.  Best phone I have ever owned.  I am an AT&T customer and have been for since it was Michigan Bell.  Dating myself a little there.  Most of you on this sight probably weren't even born yet when AT&T was Michigan Bell............or not.  Anyway, in Canada I always get a good signal.  Up north, always get a good signal.  Anywhere I have gone, good signal.  You can keep the others.  AT&T was the original iPhone company and if you own an iPhone, you ought to go with them.  Plus I get a UAW discount.
