I always tend to check this site out for their reviews on tackle and whatnot.  Looks like they posted part 1 of a 2 part article about the Alabama rig.  I like the ABT rig they posted, but outlining some of the features of the rigs before I buy one is certainly nice too.

Ya I like the idea behind the ABT rig not so much the head where you can attach another bait to but the interchangeable wires where you can replace damaged or add dummy or short/longer wires. I just ordered a couple of those rigs along with the dummy head kits for the states that don't allow 5 hooks and the 4.5 and 6.5 inch wire kits. From my understanding the bass always hit the bottom bait or the trailing bait so a rig like this that you can adjust lengths and match state regs should be ideal. I also got some of the Picasso school e rigs since I have heard good things about those as well.

Here is a video showing the ABT multi-rig system, you can purchase these at Basstackledepot for I believe $22.99 and the wire kits are $4.99. If you get any make sure to go through GLB.

That's a very thorough, helpful article. Thanks.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks Tim! Wow! That rig really is true innovation! I'm very impressed with the design and presentation. I'm surprised they kept the price below some of the other older models too. That will be one of the 2 or 3 models I will try out.

Go to Bass Tackle Depot and search ABT to find this rig, extra wires kit and teaser body wires you can use where the number of hooks are limited.

I confirmed today with Lansing MDNR Law Enforcement that we can use up to 6 hooks at one time in Michigan so the regular 5-lure rig is acceptable. Should be a fun season!

I thought tackletour did a nice job too with the article. I didn't know about the using heavier weights on the bottom to keep it from spinning. Good tips!

Wonder if so much has ever been written and money spent on something they have never used.  Be fun this spring when we have open water

I agree with many anglers who have pointed out that this sport can always use an injection of 'new.'

Part 2 here:

Great info here including how much their rig weighed with the jig heads and baits attached along with a detailed account of catching fish on it.
