Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Currently I have been using the TD Tungsten DS weights which I get off of unnamed.
I have tried them in all shapes and they are al ok.

I usually fish erie and was wondering if anyone has a prefered brand or style they like to fish when it comes to rocky areas like erie.

Depending on the weather I usually use 1/4-1/2.......usually 3/8.

I am about to stock up again and may just go with the TD brand again but I am also seeing brands like Vike and a few other that I wonder about.

Thanks for any info guys.

I use both tungsten and lead. If i know I'm going to loose them, like in rocky areas on Erie, use the lead. If I'm fishing sandy areas were I won't loose them all, use tungsten. If I really need to feel the bottom for content, tungsten defiantly transmits the feel of the bottom better. As far as brands of tungsten, Bass Pro, Xcalibur. TruTungstin are all fine and basically do the same.  Who ever has the best deal is usually the ones I buy.
As for lead, either poor them yourself or buy them off some of the guys on here. Their prices will be a lot better than the store. If you make them yourself, the little snaps cost $5 for 100, and a pound of lead is about $1.50 on ebay but you'll still need a melting pot and mold. Maybe find someone to borrow it from or go in on it with to share the cost.

For those that pour their own DS weights. I am working on a lead mold for them right now. Depending on interest from some of my customers, I may have it done sooner than expected.

Right now, I will have a 1/2 oz. DS mold that will be the long round (cylinder) type. It will be in a banana shape to mimic the "Lindy Rig No snag sinker" and be segmented into quarters for those that want to cut down the weight accurately. It will also allow you to put the DS swivel in either up or down for those guys that prefer to use a small snap swivel on the bottom of the tag line.

If any are interested, I can get cracking and finish it up and get the pricing calculated.
