I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

We left Michigan Saturday headed South. We got to Athens, Alabama around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Talked to Savage on the way down on Sunday. He too is headed south for a little R&R. We both plan on fishing Guntersville. Right now it's 5:30 a.m. on Monday morning, and I'm drinking coffee waiting for my buddy Rick "The Cementman" Skinner to get his butt out of bed. We are then going to head over to Guntersville. The weather forecast looks ominous for today. Some real nasty weather is possible. When the Cementman gets up we may decide to fish Wheeler or Wilson which are only a few minutes away. Guntersville is an hour and a half away. We'll check the weather radar and then make our decision.
I will be blogging the trip on my teardropbass.com website. I have our drive down up now, and hopefully we'll get some fishing pictures up later today. Tomorrow, we have to drive to Florence and register to Marshal for the Elite Series event there which starts Wednesday. We will be gone a week to ten days. Hopefully it turns out a little better than Mike's Louisianna trip.
By the way, it was 79 degrees Sunday and we had to turn the air conditioning on. Stay tuned, wish you were here.
Oh, I forgot to mention that my beautiful sister-in-law is stopping at Lawlers, one of my favorite barbecue places down here, and picking up barbecue for dinner. I love her.

Short day on Guntersville. We got a late start, had to run around looking for licences, and then got blown off the water early. We did catch a few fish: 13 lb. drum, hooked two fish that jumped off at the boat, and boated a couple of small fish. Not a stellar day, but the weather was in the 80s, the boat started on the first turn of the motor, and I got pulled ham from Lawlers Barbecue.

Saw Ken from GLB at Pickwick today. Missed Savage, but he'll be there tomorrow. Rode with Dean Rojas today and drew David Walker for tomorrow. It's a flippin bite in the bushes.

Sounds exciting and fun. Which Ken did you run into (username)? Good to hear that you drew Gerald Swindle for tomorrow. That should give you some stories!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
