I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Does anyone know why the Garmin sonar units are so expensive?  They do not have side imaging or down scan that I know of.  The pictures they show in the BPS magazine are not impressive at all.  Why are they so expensive?  Do they make the fish bite too?  I don't get it.

For one, they are the best GPS on the market, hands down.

Secondly... most of their units include the Garmin G2 Bluecharts.  Which is great if you are a great lakes boater.  If not... you'll be spending $149 for their Lakemaster inland lake chip and you will hate it.

I have sold dozens of Humminbirds and Lowrance units to inland lake fishermen, but not a single Garmin unit.  Lowrance/Humminbird = mostly inland lakes.  Garmin almost exclusively great lakes cruisers/sailboaters.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

That is good to know.  I thought there had to be more to it as they wouldn't be so expensive if they were not good.  Thanks
