Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Trolling Motor Batteries

I have 2 Deka 8A27 batteries, barely used (less than 10 times) for sale. They are absorbed glass mat (AGM). I am only looking to sell these because shortly after I bought them last spring I won a new pair (exact same) at a tournament. Since then, I kept them clean and inside during cold weather and periodically charge them up. I charged them up last week and they had a full charge in less than 10 minutes. I now realize that keeping them as a backup is just wasting a good tool as the 8A27s I'm using now are awesome and I don't anticipate needing new ones. I have fished multiple 2 day tournaments the past year and they have never failed me. Just Sunday I spend 8 hours on a lake fighting 2-3 foot waves and when the day ended and my livewells were still empty? >:(, my trolling motor was running just as powerfully as the beginning of the day? :).

In comparison to the maintenance deep cycle battery, the AGMs seem to hold up better in rough water and there's no maintenance required ever. The charge is the same as a DC27 by Deka which will sell for $79.99 @ D & R Sportscenter; the 8A27 normally sell around $160-170.

I can email you pictures of the batteries, I can't seem to post them (image is too big for the website); send me a pm with your email address or post it. I'm not looking to make much money ($50 each or OBO plus the shipping costs), but these are great batteries that I can't justify laying around.

I am interested in one or possibly both of these batteries.? I have never used one of these AGM batteries, Do they charge the same way as a normal deep cell. Will the work with a traditional 12V system?

I live in Portage.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
