Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I was looking for a cheaper reel to buy and stumbled across this one at Gander Mountain: http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=410603&pdesc=Zebco_Quantum_Burst_Baitcast_Reel I am curious if this is a Quantum brand reel, or if the name of the reel that Zebco is producing here is the "Quantum Burst?"  Or does Zebco own quantum?  It says it comes with burner gearing, which unless I am misinformed, is exclusively available on Quantum reels?  Seems like it would be worth trying one out for this price considering it is relatively light weight and comes with a 1 year warranty.

play for keeps

zebco owns quantum, but quantum still manufactures their reels. i work at gander mtn and we got two new baitcasters in this year that are gander mtn brand(but manufactured by quantum) and are built on the burst platform. they just put are name on it
nemesis baits

palehorse custom rods

stackenem

If it is the copper coloed reel They are a pretty good reel for the money. I have had 1 for two years and it works great.

That's interesting about the Gander Mountain reels... they look really sharp but when looking I had no idea it was a Quantum with Gander stamped on it...  Is it the same with any of the rods? Pretty cool.  Thanks for the help I will be trying one of these out.

Always fun to figure out who really makes what.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
