Looking for a quality tow vehicle

My current job dictates that I purchase a truck/suv that is made by a company portrayed as being an American manufacturer. That being said I have to get rid of my Indiana built Tundra. I am looking for a 2000 to 2003 Suburban, Tahoe, F150 or Dodge Ram in the 70,000 to 100,000 mile range. Please PM me with the particulars

How sad that your company is still being narrow minded about what really is an American built truck.  That being said, I'd stay away from the F150's.  Nice looking trucks, but had two brand new ones and got tired of them being in the shop for major issues.  Two new transmissions and an engine tear down before 70K.

I almost posted my 2 cents here then realized it's going to take about 10 posts before anybody tells you about a vehicle you may want to buy, which is what you asked for.  Good luck finding a truck

i had a 99 tahoe and loved it.  i vote for tahoe!!!

Mine's not for sale, but I have an 06 ram 1500 that rolled over 100K on the way to Champlain a couple weeks ago.  I have replaced a battery and ball joints.  Otherwise routine (Ok, maybe over the top a little sometimes) maintenance stuff is all.  Not the best mileage of any truck, but hard to beat the reliability I've experienced.  It's pulled my boat to about 175 tournaments, including Champlain, etc.  If I had to buy another gas engine, I would sure consider another Hemi.  Anything with a 7.3 Powerstroke will be the ultimate though.

My '01 F150 SuperCrew w/ 5.4 Triton with 98,000 has served me very well. Routine maintenance, one replaced auto hub for 4x4, and one replaced differential cover. and an a/c condensor is all i've had to do. Original battery even still going strong. I also plow a few driveways with it. My dad's F250 has been as good or better. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one, though a diesel would be nice for milage and pulling the camper long distance

I drove a 2001 Tahoe last night and looking at another this evening. Nice ride and I love the leather.

New boat is first for me. Maybe then I'll grow out of my 91 1500 Chev. I love my truck though.

In my opinion the Suburban is the best tow / tournament truck you can get.  Tons of storage, great ride and plenty of power.  My 2nd favorite is the Avalanche, 3rd is a tie between a crew cab Silverado and a Tahoe / Yukon.

My wife has been alternating between Avalanches and Suburbans for the past few years.  She currently has a 2009 Suburban, it is a sweet tow vehicle.  I have a 2010 Silverado Crew Cab, it is also a great tow vehicle - tows the same as the Suburban, but I like the interior storage of the Suburban better.

If you are looking at 2001 era trucks, the Suburban / Tahoe is hard to beat!!

I put 250 K on my last F150 and my 06 has over 100k.....They have been the best selling vehicles for 30 years in a row for a reason...
Tahoes are very nice vehicles also....

To be honest I have quit shopping in Local ma and pa Stores whose owners drive Japanese and I have sent contractors packing that show up on my Door step driving a Japanese Truck......Local businesses ask me to support them and buy locally and they show up at my door driving a Foriegn car....Don't ask me to support your pocket book if you won't support mine and buy from an American Company.....

It is their choice but I have a choice also.....

If you are selling or representing a company in the Detroit area I think it is highly advantageous to drive a Domestic Vehicle....

Well, since he is looking for a specific range of used vehicle, I take it no one is aware of such a vehicle available for sale? I don't at the moment. I'll keep my eyes open.
