Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I just noticed we are going to Lakeville lake. What should I know about this lake? I've never even heard of it.

LennyB

It is a largemouth lake. It has a lot of weed beds (cabbage). Toss a senko up in the weeds and a jig and pig along the deep weed line. I also do well with lipless cranks over the weed flats.

Good luck guys, see yous at the next one, Len B.

I thought this was the year I'd be making every event, but this is my anniversary weekend and I am spending time with the other love of my life.  So I'll have to see ya'll at the next one.  I can't wait to fish the river in the next event!!!

Yeah, I'm really starting to wonder about the participation in this club.  I love the new guys though and really want to keep it going.  How can we give this club a shot in the arm?  Do we need to have tournaments to keep the members interested??  I'm lost for answers here.  We should start another thread about it and try to get it figured out.  SIGH  ???

July 24 event is canceled.

I spoke with Eric Kennedy and we talked about maybe going somewhere not so far away on Sunday.   Saturday has a 60% chance of thunderstorm, Sunday has none. If anyone is interested we could do something like the Half Moon chain., Whitmore,  Kent, or Woodland.   If we do Whitmore or Woodland we could start as early as we want.   On Half Moon, the launch doesn't open until 8 AM and unless there's a tournament, it won't be busy at that time.  We could also do the Portage chain, but there is usually a line when the launch opens at 8.

Maybe we could team up with Bob O and what he's trying to get going.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.
