I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Heading to Pontiac Lake on Tuesday.  I haven't fished there in a couple of years.  Are the fish much bigger?  Fun lake to catch a lot of fish but there never seems to be much size.

At the TBF Jr championship a couple weekends ago the kids caught many keepers but almost no big bass. We did see 1 big bass by a seawall and a couple kids say they lost bigger bass. Let us know how you did.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I'd say there getting a little bigger
The NBAA Overtime series Div, 40, 43 & 53 juust fished out there

In Div. 40 10.53 won it with BB at 3.13
Div. 43 was 11.8 with BB at 3.26
and Div. 53 9.45 won it with BB at 2.64

And this was after the TBF was out there

nbaa one on one last saturday.  2 bag over 11lb. big bass was 4.5  thats almost unheard of out there.  this year im getting almost all keepers out there, just barely 14", last year i got lots of 13.5's  so they are definatley growing up.

McCarter

i fished the lake 3 times this year after an 8 year hiatus and i would say 80% of the fish we were catching were keepers.  8 years ago it was tough to put a 5 fish limit together out there now it seems like everyone is getting limits, but the real big fish are hard to find.  definatly making a rebound tho.

my dad still tells me stories of when he was younger, they would rent a cabin on pontiac and fish all weekend and catch monster bass and pike. that was back in the mid 70s.

McCarter himself :-\'

There was a bass die off back around that time if I remember right. The lake has never seemed the same since. I also understand many stumps have been illegally removed from some of the bays by the locals removing important habitat.

They are growing for sure.  2 of us fished for 6hrs probably caught 50 fish on jigs and senkos.  30 were probably keepers and I would guess best 5 to go 10lbs.  Nice to see the lake is getting better.

I was impressed by the number of decent keepers during the TBF Jr tournament. We did see that one really nice bass and heard the usual fish stories about the ones that got away ;D

If memory serves me right..In the little bit of research that I did I think they killed the lake off to get rid of the over abundance of Carp....Or maybe they drew it down to fix something...I can't remember lakes start running together but something like that...(Old man's disease)
