I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

^^^ That would be worst case scenario guys, don't let that comment steer you away from helping out.

Original song and lyrics by "MadWags"

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

Maybe I can sell Bobber insurance?

Please, one day to help keep the sport moving forward is well worth it. That is why I do it every year.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the Veteran's Tips-Up event coordinators, if they don't need us, I'll be there.  I'll stay in touch.

Edit (1230): I spoke with the Operation Injured Soldier office and they will be contacting me tomorrow with the verdict.

Sorry guys, but I wont be able to make it. Had to change my days off because of an appointment with my father tomorrow. Had to give up Saturday. I'm very sorry this had to be this week.

I received my confirmation from Operation Injured Soldier last night.  It stinks (you know I've got more choice words) that both events are the same day... :(

Yes. It went very well. Lots of people involved. 27+ volunteer boaters. 53 kids out fishing. Lots of bass caught and weighed. MDNRE cooperation and biology study done to look at the bass population on Pontiac Lake. Great food!

Very nice job to BrianB and all of the volunteers!! Good to see you too Dennis (Beltz) still letting your actions speak for the type of person you are! I was really proud to see so many GLBass members there as volunteers!!! You guys and gals are AWESOME!!

Danny Sprague won the younger division while I think it was Nick Catalado (or something like that spelling) who won the older division. I was impressed with the two youngsters I had - Connor and Brady. They fished hard all day and both weighed in keepers.

First time I had ever been on the lake so I wasn't much help. They each had been there only the day before so I was more impressed that they were on fish and were able to tough it out for 2 and 3 keepers respectively. I also believe there were 3 young ladies this year, to that number is up. Good to see so many polite and good young persons in one place having a good time. Connor and Brady were very cooperative and supportive of each other without any of my input. Very nice to see!!

I have to agree.....The 2 competitors that I had in the boat worked very well together as a team and were very supportive of each other..

djkimmel

That was quite the pick me up for me at a time when I could use it. It is so much better seeing good people at their best vs. the opposite.

Thanks for being a volunteer moto!
