How is the fishing on this lake? I need to find somewhere else to go besides Ovid and this lake looks promising, is this place overgrown with weeds like Ovid is? Thanks Mike

It is not overgrown with weeds, and there are plenty of largemouth and smallmouth more than willing to eat right now.

Thanks I stopped by last night with the family and it looks like a great lake to fish, my son wouldn't let us go without grabbing some polls so we did. I ended up catching a nice 14" largemouth right from the beach area, looks like I found the lake that i will be going to more often. Does it get real busy during the summer months?

crystal gets super busy during the summer and it starts real early in the morning...jackson there is a tournament there the 13th of june that is a club tournament and is open for all just to check out the club...grand bass is running it...if you need more info give me a call..

It gets very busy during the summer.  There are lots of locals that fish and many, many little tournaments out there, but that lake has largely become a playground for rich people from various big cities.  They are pretty much only around on weekends and holidays though.  Where are you from?

I live in St johns so it's only 35 minutes from my house, looks like a good place to go on Monday's then when I'm off! Let me know if you are ever headed out there and maybe we can meet up can fish it. Mike

I would love to come out and fish that tournament to check everything out but I have drill so that weekend is out. Thanks for the heads up on how busy it gets looks like a good lake to fish during the week.
