I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Does anyone have any info on this topic. I have had the motor out of my Explorer 2 times now and I still can not get this adjusted correctly.... thanks Don L

all you have to do is align the timing marks on the cam gear with the marks on the crank pulley/gear. It should be when the #1 piston is on top dead center. Other than that, the timing adv/retart is controlled by the ecm.

I have never work on that motor personally, but have worked on many other ohc motors. I could prob find you some literature on it if you want me to.

Hey Don, I will make ya a good deal on a new Chevy!   ;)

When we gonna pour some lead?

LAPORTE

Lining up marks sounds like an easy thing to do. If it had marks or even keyways.... this motor has 4 timing chains.... what a nightmare..... If I had hair it would be pulled out  :)

Seth                     As for the lead pouring session... once the truck gets fixed and my barn gets back in order. away we go!!! I have about 80lbs just waiting.... Ill send you a pm

Trying to read that makes me want to put the compression tester extension hose into my ear and blow my brains out!! Good luck Don. I will be of absolutely no help. That's for sure.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
