Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Went out there just messing around and had a great surprise that there was an air show at Willow Run. It started out with an F16 and then later in the afternoon the Blue Angels were on. Those jets are incredible, I can't believe the power and agility of them. Here's a couple pics from my phone:

Hooked up with Joshimoto for some Belleville action.  It was incredible watching thos fighter jets scream all over the place.  to think the people in Iraq get to see that everyday.

Fishing was good too.

I was out there as well and that was pretty awesome. I have to disagree about the fishing though. I only caught a bunch of shorts and one keeper. Too much traffic for my liking.

i know this might sound like an ongoing commercial, but you owe it to yourself to try dropshotting our 3" goby.  i dont fish belleville often but everytime i go there i catch keepers using our bait.  i caught several keepers using the KLK color on saturday.  also caught a bunch of nice ones on our 1/4 oz upskirt mini skirt jig in mccarters magic.  i only had one on me and broke it off flipping a 3 lb largemouth into the boat.  so i finished the day with a green pumpkin purple mini skirt and only caught one short.  two color jigs work really good out there for us.  McCarters Magic and KevZilla.  could be that both me and my fishing , partner Kevin are egomaniacs and only throw colors that we named after ourselves, i dont know.  but they both work out there very well.

anyway, caught probably 20 fish with 10 being keepers and 4 being good keepers.

I'm gonna have to try these magic gobies. Not to sound like I don't believe you but you should come to TNT's. If you caught ten, thats pretty impressive for this time of year. May I ask how deep you were fishing?

McCarter

0-7 feet.  most of the bigger bites came from 5-7 except when we got into the slop bite and then it was 1-2 feet.  but the jigs and gobies bite was best in 5-7 feet.

I was out there myself.....Fishing sucked for me too.The air show made it worth while out there.

I had baby ducks harassing me......everywhere i went those baby ducks followed. It was quite annoying.

The fishing wasn't great for me either, but not too bad considering the 5,000+ boats on the lake.  :D
The seagulls wouldn't leave me alone, I was throwing a popper around all the balls of shad out there and the gulls kept attacking it. One even picked it up and started flying away! I just gave it line to try to avoid hooking it and the bird finally came back down and let go. Not sure what I would have done if I hooked it.
