Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

With all the chips out there (all the different navionics, lakemasters etc...) what do you consider to be the best chip? (eg... details)
I just purchased a HDS-5 and fish the great lakes.

Thanks for your thoughts

I like lakmaster Michigan.  $100 for the greatlakes and a ton of inland lakes.  The lakemaster site doesn't say anything about the new HD units but lowrance told me it should work with the HD-7 I am getting.  I just wish the chip had as much info as the software does, their map of St. Clair is way better on the software version.

I run a Lakemaster at the Bow and a Navionics at the console.....I like them both, The lakemaster has more detail on certain lakes...(burt and mullet, Saginaw bay, etc etc)

Lakemasters hd lakes have a lot more detail than the navionics.  Too bad my lakemaster chip is not compatiable with my humminbird units :(

Anybody using the HotMaps Platinum? I have the Premium now and it's map of Saint Clair sucks. I have the Lakemaster in my handheld and it is really good, but hard to hold it when driving out there and it won't work in the 'bird. Just wondering if the Platinum has a better map since it would add 3D, etc. for other lakes.
